My buddy Aaron Bappe #897 got ass packed by John Gu during Sunday's race #6 MWSS. Aaron suffered compound fracture of his tib and fib in his right leg, cracked pelvis, and bruised pancreas. He is still in St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan recovering after surgery, but in good spirits. He just started racing this season, but is pretty fast and we pit together at most races including this last weekend at RA. Aaron is a quite the video fanatic and had a forward and rearward facing camera on board during this race/crash. One of the first things he said after the crash was, "make sure you get the rear camera off my bike for me". We sent it with his father while we loaded his bike for the trip home. If anyone is interested he'll probably have the footage up soon on youtube.

edit...Yeah...he already posted it up from his hospital bed. Like I said he is a video fanatic.

Road America - the right coming on to the straight.

"Just talked to Aaron on the phone, he's in decent spirits it seems, as good as expected for the injury. He actually had a rear camera mounted for that race so we'll get to see some video too as soon as he gets internet access. Apparently he accidentally clicked the bike into first gear just as I was on his ass and I didn't have time to react to it and BAM"

Gu is very fast and smooth, I've been on track with him before.
