One for the Honda haters...including me.

Impressive. Damn impressive.

Based on his other races, I would say that it was not the bike or that it was stock, but that he was the better rider that day.

True enough, but the fact that there was stock suspension says something. Also, from what I understand, that series is pretty competitive.

I've been away for a bit so I don't know all the local players anymore, but the only name in those results that I know is Tigert's. I think the AFM has a deeper pool. If he did that up here against Randolph, Stanton, Hill, Earnest etc etc, who are all going to show up on highly optimized bikes, I'd be more impressed.

Tigert has, provacatively, been saying for years now on forums that the stock suspension is fine, do wheels and other stuff first. So, I think he might have been out to prove something....

Edit: Also, Honda was signing his checks as a test rider, and giving him factory parts at one point as well. I don't know if he's still working for them, but let's say his relationship with Honda is special.

I was just amazed at how many classes they had for this race. If they ran half of them individually (not combined), they either must have been 2 laps each or they ran from dawn to dusk.

They didn't report on the Charmin Toilet Tissue Vintage New Age 71cc Formula 60 class though, bummer . . . .
