Transponder?

So are they required for WERA? (not clear from rule book) Where can you buy them? What is compatability between brands? Just curious as I am considering taking last in Big Twin Superbikes at Barber

WERA uses the AMB 260. But if you are just looking at doing one race, just rent one from WERA. New I believe they run about $375. And I was wrong on the price..

You can rent one for the weekend for $50. Keep your eyes on the WERA board for used one. You can get them cheap.... and by cheap I mean $250-300.

I have the hard wired model which is less expensive than the rechargeable that most clubs rent. Mine paid for itself in a season based on rental fees. I wired mine with a connector that plugs into the OEM wiring harness for the license plate light so it's easy to remove.
