Pics from Vermont

Well, we're stuck in Germany for a while so I have some time to finally post this stuff. It's nice to be off over here, but it makes me long for the GS soooo much!

Attached are some pics from a trip to VT we did a few weeks ago. We got really lucky with both the weather and the foliage. The pace was slow, and the ride was more about the view and just being out rather than trying to cover distance or reach a destination. It was a nice change of pace as we traveled through VT, NH, and MA. Riding the GSAdv two-up on the dirt back roads was an awesome experience. Not required equipment as my father-in-law proved by riding his VTX 1300 as lead the whole time, but the GS was really in it's element.

One of the most impressive stops on the trip was the Cathedral In The Pines. If you're ever near the area, it's worth a look. Very somber, but also an amazing tribute to those who've paid the ultimate price in defense of our freedoms.

Enjoy!

Thanks!

Wish I could live up there full-time.

Here's a vid taken with the VIO.POV1 and the new wide-angle lens they sent out to replace the original. Decent quality, however it's reduced by the compression to fit it here.

I actually did think of dropping you a line.

We spent the week with the in-laws though. Would have been tough to get away.

I am very jealous of where you live. I plan to retire up there someday....we'll have to get together for some DS rides!

I'll be up there for a while next year and following. We've got a major operation with the state happening there. I'm sure I'll need to go a few times

We should set a date and plan a ride. I'd make the trip!

Max BMW used to have dual sport rides throughout the year. They started easy in the spring and progressed to difficult by the fall. I didn't see it on their calendar this year.

Hmmmm. That means I'd have to convince Firefly to let me buy a DS...
