Did some V-Strom work Sunday!
I just couldn't wait any longer. I had to install some new stuff on the new
bike. And it was a nice, though a bit chilly day to do it. OEM heated grip kit and new TAG aluminum bars in ATV bend. The bars were a very quick install and all the cables were just long enough to work. The grip kit took a bit longer, but since the bike was wired for this kit from the factory I just had to find the plug-in buried being the radiator. Once this was found, the grips were mounted up, control unit mounted, bar end weights modded to fit and factory hand guards put back on. Looks great!! And the grips get HOT. I can't see how I ever lived without these since my KLR650 had them 12 years ago. I haven't ridden the bike since November, so I slapped my new plate on it and went out for about 15 miles. Just had a BLAST. I really, really love this bike. The riding position fits me perfectly, but I do need to mod the seat for a bigger dish. It's a snug fit and pokes in one spot. New seat coming very shortly. It just felt so GOOD to get out on the bike and ride!! |

Nice! What have you done for bags/panniers? I've been really happy with my Zegas.

Re: Did some V-Strom work Sunday!
I bought the OEM Givi set-up. The dealer I bought the bike from had a complete set with mounts that were ordered and never picked up. $450.00 for everything!
![]() I just couldn't say no to that, and love hard cases anyway. I bought the bike to be a commuter / LD ride and it is just an great bike. |
